David Marcoux is the new goaltending coach for the Carolina Hurricanes and former goaltending coach for the Calgary Flames. He has more than 25 years of experience working with goaltenders at all levels of hockey. His specialized goalie instruction gives goaltenders the technical and mental training needed to excel at all levels. Marcoux spent six years as the goaltending coach for the Calgary Flames between 2003 and 2009, helping Flames goaltender Miikka Kiprusoff become a Vezina Trophy and Williams Jennings Trophy winner, as well as a Hart Trophy finalist in 2005-06. 

Prior to joining Calgary, Marcoux spent the previous 12 years guiding netminders at a sports academy in St-Jerome, Quebec. He also held the goaltender coach position for the Hull Olympiques of the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League (QMJHL) from 1997-2001, helping Hull twice reach the league finals. 

A graduate of the University of Sherbrooke with a Bachelor’s Degree in Science (Physical Education), Marcoux earned a Masters from the University of Montreal in 1997. For the last 15 years, Marcoux runs his own goaltending camps Quebec, Ontario and Calgary AB, David is the Official licensed Goalie Consultant for Hockey Canada.
