The emphasis of this camp is to build a strong technical foundation based on balance/skating, positioning & initial save assets. Strength in these critical areas will ensure expedited growth & efficiency to progress & enjoy the goaltending position.  Strong movements lead to greater positional efficiency & increased confidence at the younger beginner-level. Starting goalies enjoy the practices based on fun & learning.

Monday to Friday
75 min ice session per day

Ratio Coach/Goalie 1:3

Includes off ice coordination drills (hand-eye coordination ball drills), equipment details & sizing, on ice video analysis with video share with parents.

One goalie coach and shooter at every net. Shooters provided by DMSG.

Goalie will receive a DMSG jersey and a CCM apparel on day 1.
Fruits and healthy snacks every day.

Technical Components :

• Stance/balance/ Patience on skates
• Positioning, Square, Centered with proper depth vs. shooter
• Post seals, behind net plays, window work
• Puck Tracking
• Basic Puck handling Skills (step 1)
• Skating (T-Push, shuffle, 'C cuts')
• Use of stick (steering pucks)
• Glove, blocker & chest saves
• Freezing pucks
• Leg recoveries
• Proper save selection (butterfly or stand-up) 
• Specific dynamic warm-ups & stretching

Basic Tactical Components :

• Reading the shot
• Slot awareness
• Stance vs position of shooter in zone
• Angles
• Specific Situations (breakaways, behind net plays)

Basic Mental Components :

• Confidence & Mental toughness
• Learning to be a great teammate
• Focus & selective attention
• Battling ability (through fun games)

Camp runs from 8:15 to 11:30
(ICE is from 9:30 to 10:45)

As a registrant or shooter in the DMSG (group or Private sessions), the registrant and his/her parents and/or guardian agree that the DMSG and/or its staff and/or organizers and/or directors will not be held responsible or liable for any injury to the registrant arising out of or in connection with the operation or activities of DMSG, including but not limited to bodily harm are assumed by the student and/or his parents and/or legal guardian and that this assumption is acknowledged.

Cancellation and refund policy

If a registrant must cancel due to sickness or injury prior to the Camp, DMSG will issue a credit for an upcoming clinic, Camp or Private lesson. Under no circumstances will this be converted to cash refund. A $50 administrative fee is applicable. The registrant athlete has one year to benefit from this credit (from date of registration).

At camp injuries

DMSG does not provide refunds or credits for lost participation due to injury at camp. Since we turn potential registrants away to preserve the camp structure and ratios, we have no method of recovering lost revenue due to cancellations.
